Dear Lacrosse Fans

We have 3 weeks under our belt which represents 205 lacrosse games (including the PLL).  So far we have only had 2 scheduled games that did not proceed which is not bad.
This weekend is the National Lacrosse Weekend where we will see 52 games being played at 3 venues.  Tyndall Park, Maples Multiplex and Mosienko will be going full steam all weekend.

We are very pleased to have Premier Gary Doer sending his representative Kerri Irvin-Ross to participate in the first draw at Tyndall Park.

We are also excited to be able to welcome 6 teams from Thompson who will be participating in 18 exhibition games on Saturday and Sunday all to be held at Tyndall Park.

All the players have come to love the skills competition and this year we have 5 events at Tyndall Park Rink #1 on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 to  2:00 PM.

  • Hardest Shot - as measured by a radar gun

  • Most accurate shot - put it through the holes

  • Agility - time trials through obstacles and then score on net.

  • Goalie - Keep the sharpshooters at bay.

  • Shootout - try to send the goalie packing by scoring.

Coaches have been asked to draw 5 players from their team; each can participate in one of the events.  Saturday is the round robin with the top 5 from each division moving on to the finals on Sunday.

We hope you can come out and take in some of this lacrosse action this weekend, the weather is going to be cool but no rain so it should make for some exciting competition.

Sincerely yours,
